Sardinia Costa Rei beaches – The stretch of Costa di Costa Rei is a stretch of rare beauty thanks to the abundance of beaches, wild landscapes and crystal clear sea. The stretch of Costa Rei goes from Capo Ferrato to Punta de Is Cappuccinus (coordinates 39°11’11″N 9°34’30″E).
Among the Costa Rei beaches, we have Cala Sinzias, Cala Monte Turno, Capo Ferrato, and many others. Let’s go see them.
Sardinia Costa Rei beaches
Let’s retrace Costa Rei from south to north:

Cala Pira beach
Cala Pira is located about halfway between Villasimius and Costa Rei and to tell the truth, it is just outside the boundary of the Costa Rei beaches. However, it is so beautiful and close that we also include it in our list of Costa Rei beaches.
Cala Pira beach has a vaguely wild appearance, and extremely transparent water, and it is really lovely to snorkel in these waters.
Cala Sinzias
Cala Sinzias is located in the southeast area of Sardinia. The beauty of this stretch of the Sardinian sea is unique. Cala Sinzias beach is a large sandy beach where it is very nice to walk barefoot.
Cala Sinzias is located next to the beach of Cala Monte Turno; in fact, a path connects these 2 beaches.
We can say that the beach of Cala Sinzias and that of Cala Monte Turno have similar characteristics, even if the beach of Cala Sinzias is much longer than the beach of Cala Monte Turno.
Given its length, Cala Sinzias beach is suitable for those who love to walk along the beach. Cala MonteTurno, on the other hand, can be covered along its entire length in just a few minutes.
The absolutely crystalline sea of Cala Sinzias invites you to enter the water. Cala Sinzias has some equipped bathing establishments. Be careful, though! When you go to Cala Sinzias by car, pay attention to where you park. There are areas where parking is prohibited and we saw several cars with fines. Better to park a little further away but avoid unpleasant surprises.

Cala Sizias beach by night
Cala Sinzias beach is not only an excellent place to enjoy the sea but it is also the perfect place for a special and slightly different evening.
We want to premise that in this area of Sardinia, there is not as much nightlife as in other places and your main options for a night out are generally the following:
- Spend the evening in Villasimius
- Costa Rei in the evening
- Spend the evening in Cagliari
Cala Sinzias can be a valid alternative to the options listed above. In fact, for example, in Cala Sinzias we have the Lido Tamatete, which is also open in the evening at certain times of the year. You can come here for an after-dinner drink having the pleasure of resting your feet on the sand even in the evening, or you can also come for dinner. We opted for drinks as we had already eaten dinner.
Cala Monte Turno beach
The beach of Cala Monte Turno is perhaps one of the least known beaches but it is a real jewel. The beauty of this beach amazes and amazes me every time. You would never want to leave her.
Cala Monte Turno beach is located in the Sant’Elmo area right next to Cala Sinzias. In fact, the beach of Cala Monte Turno borders the beach of Cala Sinzias and from the beach of Sant’Elmo you can see the profile of the beach of Cala Sinzias.
The sea of Cala Monte Turno beach is extremely transparent on days when there is no strong wind. Cala Monte Turno beach is much less famous than Cala Sinzias beach or other Costa Rei beaches but it is gorgeous… a real gem.
Bathing in the sea here is like bathing in a magnificent natural pool. The sea slopes gently, and this makes it an ideal place for children too. To cheer even more those who decide to spend some time here on the beach of Cala Monte Turno is the presence of numerous small fish that come close as if to keep you company. Maybe it’s a not very well-known beach, but once you come here you’re sure to want to come back!
Santa Giusta beach
Santa Giusta beach is a small wild beach located right next to the Scoglio di Peppino.
Rock of Peppino Costa Rei Sardinia and Piscina Rei
Costa Rei beach is a very long sandy beach with crystalline sea. The characteristic of this beach is the famous Scoglio dei Peppino: a large mass of rock entirely surrounded by water on which bathers love to climb and walk. This rock is said to take its name from the fisherman, Peppino to be precise, who loved to come fishing in that place.
We have just said that bathers love to climb the Scoglio di Peppino. This is possible because it is in fact easily accessible from the beach and the sea at this point is not deep, on the contrary! The portion of sea between the beach and the rock is very shallow and therefore it is pleasant to walk here.
What makes this stretch of sea even more beautiful is that there are so many fish. Even just by walking, you can see them from above, out of the water. Much more beautiful and fascinating if you can look closely underwater. Watch the following video shot right in this stretch of sea!
Capo Ferrato
Not far from the large beach of Costa Rei, we find Capo Ferrato. Capo Ferrato is characterized by a series of rocky coves with a crystal clear sea and a very country landscape.
Along the road that runs along Capo Ferrato, we can enjoy breathtaking views. Sardinia is certainly a wonderful land: at every corner, it gives us small and big emotions.
