Hello everyone, we are on Lake Garda and more precisely in the hamlet of Cisano di San Felice del Benaco to see the Great Yellow Bench, number 101 of a large number of installations scattered throughout Italy.
Cisano di San Felice del Benaco is only about ten minutes by car from Salò and a few minutes from San Felice del Benaco.
Before going to see the Giant Bench, let’s get to know a little more about the village of Cisano.
The settlement of Cisano presumably dates back to the 16th century, even if the village is certainly older: in fact, we find its name in a document from the year 958.
The community of Cisano was dedicated to agriculture, perhaps for this reason it felt more connected to San Felice than to Salò, the latter being the capital of the Magnifica Patria and residence of notables and merchants.
The giant bench, as per the Big Bench Community Project, must be positioned in a panoramic, contemplative place away from houses, streets and buildings.
The Giant Yellow Bench is easy to reach: from the parking lot, just take a pleasant and short walk among the olive trees and follow the directions.
The place where the Giant Bench 101 is located offers you a privileged observation point over the Gulf of Salò, the Gardone Riviera and the Pre-Alps that surround the upper lake.
