While the food was fine, the way they handled the bill was very unpleasant<sup><\/sup>. The total was 79\u20ac, but they automatically added a <strong>20% tip<\/strong> without asking, bringing the final total to <strong>96\u20ac<\/strong><sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Important Note:<\/strong> In Greece, tipping is <strong>not mandatory<\/strong> and should never be automatically added to the bill<sup><\/sup>. It is meant to be a voluntary, spontaneous gesture to reward great service. Unfortunately, some tourist spots are taking advantage of the customs of other countries to force these extra charges on guests<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"final-tips\">Final Tips<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Timing is Everything:<\/strong> Arriving at 10:00 AM is a paradise!. The beach is empty, it\u2019s quiet, and you don\u2019t need a reservation. The &#8220;night owls&#8221; don&#8217;t show up until the afternoon, which is when the beach finally gets crowded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Facilities:<\/strong> There is a lifeguard even for the free area, which is great for safety. Since we arrived at 10 AM, we were able to fully enjoy the &#8220;natural pool&#8221; and a delicious Greek lunch without the commitment of a full-day rental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This flexibility allowed us to head back to <strong>Mykonos Town<\/strong> in the early afternoon, where a boat was waiting for us. We had planned a visit to the sacred <strong>island of Delos<\/strong>, the legendary birthplace of Apollo.
