Once arrived, you must account for the difficulty in finding parking; even though it was early October, there were many cars, and available parking spots right near the center were limited. However, once parked, we began to wander and get lost in the narrow streets, concluding that going to Lindos at night is perhaps even more beautiful than during the day. The illuminated alleys enhance the characteristic corners, the bright fuchsia flowers, and the high-hanging vegetation, making the exploration a pure pleasure.

A note on timing: Keep in mind that when we visited in early October, shops were already starting to close around 10:30 PM to 10:45 PM. We imagine that during the high season, with a large influx of tourists, the shops likely remain open much longer. Plan your shopping earlier in the evening during the shoulder season.

While we ate well, the service was not attentive: we had a reservation, but it hadn’t been noted, and after receiving our orders, the staff never returned to check if we needed anything else. For this reason, while we recognize it as a destination for wine quality, we cannot recommend it 100%.

Beyond the main venues, the center offers countless sweet treats to enjoy while walking: a super inviting crêpe with Nutella and strawberries or other fruit, ice cream, or one of the many smoothies.

A Crucial Tip for the Return Trip: A significant factor to consider, especially outside of peak season (early October), is the return journey. Around 10:30 PM, at the roundabout where cars arrive, there was already a long queue of at least 30-50 people waiting for a taxi.

Having a car offers a major advantage: you don’t have to factor in the long waiting time for a taxi. This allows you to make the most of your evening, perhaps staying a little longer at a venue to enjoy the music or the spectacular view of the illuminated Acropolis.

Ultimately, we were absolutely thrilled with the Lindos by Night experience and recommend it without reservation. As the village is a compact, entirely pedestrian center, it offers an incredibly lively and concentrated atmosphere. We found that Lindos, despite being smaller, offers a much more unique and beautiful charm compared to Rhodes Town at night. We expected the capital city to be far livelier due to its size, but we discovered that the contained dimension and the sophisticated atmosphere of Lindos create a warmer, more engaging environment.

While the old town may initially feel like an infinite maze of alleys, after just a few turns, you quickly begin to orient yourself, realizing the main streets are not so numerous. This feeling of “being at home” in such a characteristic location, which at first seemed difficult to decipher, left us with an absolutely positive final impression.
